Audition Dates

  • Saturday, February 11, 2012 at Boise State University
  • Sunday, February 26, 2012  at Boise State University
  • Sunday, March 4, 2012 (beginning at 3:00 pm) at Boise State University
*It is strongly recommended to audition in person. Under special, extenuating circumstances, auditions may be set up by Skype on the audition days (Feb. 26th, March 4th), with approval by the audition committee. *

Audition Requirements

A. General: Acceptance into any one of the Master’s Degree Emphasis Areas at Boise State (Performance, Pedagogy, or Music Education) as a member of the Graduate Fellowship Quartet, presupposes performing ability by the candidate at the senior performance major level.  Apply to the Graduate College: http://gradcoll.boisestate.edu/admissions/

B. Two written letters of recommendation from teachers, chamber music professionals, conductors etc. who will support your quartet fellowship candidacy.

C. At the Audition:

A. A 30-minute audition is required
B. Three composition movements of senior performance major level difficulty from 3 contrasting periods of music

1. Memorization is highly recommended in all but sonatas w/piano works
