Sept. 24, 2017, 7:30 pm–‘Suite’ and Lasting Impressions of Home

Flier: Season Opener: 'Suite' and lasting impressions of home. Music of Borodin, Copland, de Falla, Dvorak, Grieg, Ives, Rossini, Sibelius, and Vaughan Williams. Sunday, September 24th 2017 at 7:30 p.m. at the Morrison Center for performing arts. Admission is $7 for adults, $5 for seniors, and all students with ID and children are free.

Led by Maestro Craig Purdy, “Suite and Lasting Impressions of Home” is a concert comprised of music by  composers that reflect their native countries.  The program includes Rossini’s “Overture to William Tell,”  Borodin’s “In the Steppes of Central Asia,” “Finlandia,” by Jean Sibelius, Vaughan Williams’ “English Folk Song Suite,” Charles Ives’ “Variations on America” and more!
