Choir Placement Information
Joining a choir is very simple! All students, regardless of major, are welcome to sing in any of the choirs at Boise State University.
Choir placements occur during the first week of classes. All interested students should sign up for a placement meeting with Dr. Porter. During this time, the student will sing something of their choosing (a hymn, folk song, or anything they are comfortable singing), sight read a short musical example, and will be tested on tonal memory.
